Free Half-Term Family Fun at Portsmouth Cathedral – Explore, Create, and Discover!
Looking for free things to do with the kids this half-term? Why not explore the historic heart of Portsmouth and join us at Portsmouth Cathedral for a creative family adventure? On Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 February, we’re running free, drop-in family activities from 9:30 – 11:30am and 1:30 – 3:30pm in the stunning setting of the Cathedral.
A Journey Through Creation
This half-term, we’re bringing the story of Creation to life with a series of interactive activity stations in the Nave. Children can engage with the story through hands-on crafts and imaginative activities, all set within the awe-inspiring surroundings of Portsmouth’s historic Cathedral. Whether your little ones love making, exploring, or simply discovering something new, there’s plenty for them to enjoy.
There’s no need to book, just drop in and take part – and best of all, it’s completely free!
Make a Day of It in Old Portsmouth
Portsmouth Cathedral is located in the heart of Old Portsmouth, one of the most fascinating parts of the city. After enjoying the activities inside the Cathedral, why not turn your visit into a full day of exploration? Wander the cobbled streets, soak in the maritime history, and take in stunning views of the Solent.
Southsea Common – Perfect for a brisk walk or a runaround with the kids.
Clarence Pier – A classic seaside experience with amusements and treats.
Hotwalls Studios – A vibrant creative space where artists and makers work – great for a browse and a spot of inspiration.
