The reformist approach aims to work within institutions, hoping to harness their power and opportunities to bring about change. Often compromises are necessary and so Christians risk watering down or losing their distinctive position. The approach raises questions of Christian integrity and whether the Christian challenge must necessarily lose its effectiveness.
