On Saturday 1st July, Bishop Jonathan will license three new lay ministers in our cathedral, at a service starting at 11am. They would also appreciate your prayers as they prepare for their new roles. They are:
Vicky Evans (Reader, St Andrew’s, Hayling Island)
Chris Nicol (Reader, Portsmouth Cathedral)
Katie Moritz (pioneer lay minister, St Faith’s, Lee-on-the-Solent)
The Sarum Cycle, a series of 13 painted meditations on Christ’s Passion by Nicholas Mynheer, will be on display at Portsmouth Cathedral throughout Lent and Easter.

A 5 week course exploring the season of Lent through the Nicholas Mynheer's Sarum Cycle, a series of 13 paintings picturing the passion of Christ.
Candlelit Compline is a short, peaceful service of Night Prayer held during Lent, offering a moment of stillness to end the day.
Our regular ‘Meet the Dean’ session at Portsmouth Cathedral offers a chance for members of the congregation and local community to have a one-to-one conversation with The Very Reverend Dr. Anthony Cane.
