Zoë Colbeck - Chief Operating Officer/Chapter Clerk
Zoë Colbeck joined Portsmouth Cathedral as Chief Operating Officer in July 2025, having lived in Portsmouth for several years. She brings a wealth of senior leadership experience from the heritage and cultural sectors, most recently as Executive Director at Strawberry Hill House & Garden. Zoë’s earlier roles include Commercial Operations Director at the Mary Rose, and she has spent over 18 years with the National Trust, most notably as General Manager for the Chartwell Portfolio of Properties, including Churchill’s former home.
Throughout her career, Zoë has combined strategic and operational leadership with a passion for heritage, sustainability and community engagement. She has successfully led large teams of staff and volunteers, built enduring partnerships and delivered innovative projects – all with a clear focus on sustaining historic places for future generations.
